We are all PALs

About PAL

At PAL, we are dedicated to providing a flexible, individualized supported living program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our goal is to empower clients to live as independently as possible, supported by a PAL roommate or through participation in a high-quality adult day program. PAL roommates offer both guidance and companionship, ensuring that clients have the support they need to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

We tailor our services to each client’s unique needs and goals, helping them navigate the everyday challenges of community living. Whether it's managing household responsibilities, pursuing personal interests, or making important decisions, PAL is there to offer both support and encouragement.

Why Choose PAL Over a Group Home?

Freedom. With PAL, you, the client, are in charge of your own decisions—from what to cook for dinner to which activities to pursue. Together with your PAL, you will have the freedom to decide on everyday matters, like what to watch on TV or which team to cheer for. PAL is here to guide you in making positive choices while ensuring your health, safety, and budget are respected.

Why PAL?

At PAL, we prioritize one thing above all: the quality of life of our clients. Our commitment goes beyond simply providing a safe and supportive environment; we believe in empowering individuals to continue growing and building on the skills they already possess. We help our clients take ownership of their lives, from making choices about budgeting, housekeeping, shopping, cooking, and hygiene to managing social interactions with family and peers. PAL is here to ensure that every day brings a sense of purpose and pride.

Our team is also dedicated to supporting you in maintaining your connection to your day program or job, so you can continue to build skills and achieve your personal goals.

Our Commitment

With over 25 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in educational settings, I, Kathy Linch, am deeply passionate about helping my clients succeed. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing the pride on their faces as they accomplish their goals. My focus has been on empowering young adults, ages 18-22, to develop vocational and life skills, enabling them to reach their highest level of independence.

My son, Mike, has been involved with this incredible community since he was eight years old. From volunteering in my classroom to working as a special education instructional assistant and a direct support professional (DSP), Mike shares my passion for supporting individuals with disabilities. Together, we have built PAL with a deep commitment to helping each client reach their fullest potential.

Our Team

At PAL, we pride ourselves on offering personalized attention to every client. Our team members undergo thorough screening and ongoing monitoring to ensure the highest level of care and support. As a small company, we can dedicate the time and resources necessary to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.

Mike and I are both passionate about seeing our clients live meaningful, independent lives and we are dedicated to supporting them every step of the way.
